Pillowcases and quasimodular forms
We prove that natural generating functions for enumeration of branched coverings of the pillowcase orbifold are level 2 quasimodular forms. This gives a way to compute the volumes of the strata of the moduli space of quadratic differentials.
متن کاملComplex Vector Bundles and Jacobi Forms
The elliptic genus (EG) of a compact complex manifold was introduced as a holomorphic Euler characteristic of some formal power series with vector bundle coefficients. EG is an automorphic form in two variables only if the manifold is a Calabi–Yau manifold. In physics such a function appears as the partition function of N = 2 superconformal field theories. In these notes we define the modified ...
متن کاملQuasimodular Forms and S(m|m) ∧ Characters
In this paper, we establish automorphic properties and asymptotic behaviors of characters due to Kac–Wakimoto pertaining to s (m|n)∧ highest weight modules in the case m = n, extending work of Bringmann and Ono (Math Ann 345:547–558, 2009) and Bringmann and Folsom (submitted) which pertains to the case m > n.
متن کاملEta-invariants, torsion forms and flat vector bundles
We present a new proof, as well as a C/Q extension, of the RiemannRoch-Grothendieck theorem of Bismut-Lott for flat vector bundles. The main techniques used are the computations of the adiabatic limits of ηinvariants associated to the so-called sub-signature operators. We further show that the Bismut-Lott analytic torsion form can be derived naturally from the transgression of the η-forms appea...
متن کاملPoisson Structures and Star Products on Quasimodular Forms
We construct and classify all Poisson structures on quasimodular forms that extend the one coming from the first Rankin-Cohen bracket on the modular forms. We use them to build formal deformations on the algebra of quasimodular forms.
